Adding players from older OOTPs

Now this might be a strange Q,
but in older versions of OOTP players was in the DB that has since been deleted.
Some of these played in Japan or Independent Leagues.
Brandon Beachy I believe is one such player. Is it possible to merge these into the newer games without "create" them in the editor using create Fictional Player.

Same thing in my own case that was created in OOTP10. At that time players that was drafted and is in the new OOTP11 game is of course not in.

I imported my OOTp10 ongoing game into the OOTP11 and of course looking for a way to add those players from the original OOTP11 quick-start DB.

Could Import/Export work in any way. Since it´s hundreds of new players in OOTP11 that I miss it would very very long to add them one by one with that Fictional Stuff.

Any hints ideas or brainwork that can help ????
