Call up a Rookie in August or a Vet?

I'm going back and forth between brining up my #1 pick from 2 years ago who was definitely fast tracking it up the system or bringing up a vet so the Rookie can stay in AAA. He's at his potential in Stuff and Movement but not control...my team is not close at all to the playoffs.

I'd bring up the vet. Prolong that cheap salary as long as you can on your prospect. Plus, I have a fear (no stats to back this up), that young pitchers in the majors in ootp have a bigger chance of getting injured.

i would go the othger way and bring up the rookie to see what he can do and if u play out most or all games give him a few spot 5 inning starts, maybe keep him on a strict pitch count.....or call him up with just a few days to go in the season and then give him 2-3 1 inning relief appearances.

This is for an online league so this is strictly me setting team strategies for him.
