Player Datebase Question
I started a historical replay some time ago, starting in 1871. I was fairly new to the game, and still learning about the various modifications that could be made to the game. The original game started with the database that comes with the game, but I later downloaded the Spritze database to include negro league/Japanese league players what I planned on making a long running game.
I had replaced the original files with those from the Spritze db, and assumed that this would cause future draft classes to be imported from the more inclusive database. However, I am now into the early 1930's, and have yet to see any negro league players appear, though some certainly should have been created by now. Am I not able to alter the database mid-game? Or is there something I have done incorrectly? With 60+ seasons under my belt in this game, I would obviously hate to have to restart an entirely new game. |

Are you drafting the new players each year or are you bringing them in via their team assignment?

I'm drafting them each year from the draft pool.
