Opinions On Setting Up Fictional League

I've been posting on here to get some ideas on my new league that I want to create and I certainly appreciate all the responses. I haven't decided if it's going to be a fictional league or if I'm going to attempt the single season with the All-Time Greats roster set.

My newest quandry is this: it's going to be a 100-team league. 50 teams from the US & Canada and 50 International teams. Oh, I'm also going to use custom playoffs, March-Madness style, with a twist. Anyway, would it be better to just have them all play in the same league, in separate divisions, should I randomly assign them to divisions, or should I split them up into 2 leagues US/Canada and International?

I'm playing a 48 team fictional league, of all MiLB teams, with a 16 team playoff. I split them into 2 leagues with 4 divisions. My reasons are aesthetic more than anything. The league standings screen looks and feels a lot better like this. 1 gigantic mass is interesting though.

You could go with Western Hemisphere vs. Eastern Hemisphere. Whatever you do, I think you should look up some of the custom, more accurate nation, city and name files on the mods forums. People have put a lot of work into making certain regions more in depth and realistic for the game and it'd be a shame not to check it out for a league like what you're doing.

Yeah, you definitely need to split it up into two leagues. That is my personal opinion. It would make scheduling a bit easier, and just not have interleague play.

I would say:

America (Western Hemisphere)
International (Eastern Hemisphere)

And for divisions, maybe have North, Central, South America

And, Europe, Asia, MidEast-Africa (MEA).

for the division.
