Dynamic Evolution and Offense/Pitching

I've looked through the forums for info on how the more/less offense and pitching Dynamic Evolution has worked out, but got nada. So I'm asking - has anyone used these options and what effect did you see? Did you see a real deadball era or a late 1990's steroid era come up? Or were the changes more subtle?

For myself, I like the way that offense/pitching has seesaw-ed throughout real Major League history and would like to to see relatively big changes happen in my OOTP universe using the Dynamic Evolution options.

Thanks for *any* input on this!

I've used them in several OOTP11 early versions (before the first patch). However, they were used in fictional leagues that where I simply simmed 200 or so years... 340 or so in one case. Sorry to say I do not have the files anymore, but I can tell you that it does have an impact. If you sim only a small sample size I seriously doubt you will see much of an effect, however over the course of say 50 years you will see it. I saw career HR records shattered during one era where there were 4-5 guys in the 1000 range. I myself never saw anything as drastic as a dead ball era. I noticed the power increase more so than the pitching increase league wide. On another note I did notice that it appeared to increase the number of players 3 standard deviations from the mean (thus you saw big HR hitters and pitchers with 375k's etc). If I were you I would simply set it up to run 300 years or so and walk away for a 3-4 days.

Thanks - that's the info I needed, it sounds like I'll implement it in my fictional league.

In a 30-year league, I've seen ERAs climb from 4.35 to 4.75. I've also seen an increase in HRs. Don't know if it's due to league evolution -- but I have my suspicions. Personally, I'd like to see it go the other direction.
