I've been playing a historical replay with the Spritze DB, and I've made it to the late 1950s. I just got a news item that middle reliever Shohei Baba had been injured.

I thought that was either a bizarre coincidence or a joke on the part of the database researchers, but no. Shohei "Giant" Baba - the most famous Japanese professional wrestler ever - did indeed have a cup of coffee with the Tokyo Giants in the 1950s.

Amazing research.
