Unrealistic stats
I've been noticing this fora a couple of seasons now that a good number of stats my players are putting up are a tad unrealistic.
For example, in my 2010 season, I had 2 players hit .400 - Albert Pujols (whose overall rating is 80) and Ryan Ludwick (whose overall rating is 75.) No big deal, right? In my next season, I had (5) -- yes 5 -- players hit .400. Pujols again, Ludwick again, Pablo Sandoval, Adrian Gonzalez and Ichiro. On top of that, I had something like 8 pitchers lose 20 or more games. For a guy who has been following baseball since the early 80's, this is pretty unrealistic to me. Is there something I can tweak in the settings to fix this? I have not messed with any of the players' ratings. Thanks |

You have to be a really good pitcher to lose 20 games. I can't remember who said that. Loses and Wins are sometimes more about who play for than how good you are. Just ask Roy Oswalt about that.
Are you using a quickstart? Is this with default settings? I haven't played much with real players that are this recent but in my fictional leagues I haven't seen this happen. My first hunch is something is wrong with the league totals but these should be for 2010 unless you imported a different year. |
