League Help

Ok......I started a league and I now want to edit Salaries to match the Start of MLB 2003. I have taken off passwords for the league for the time being and each owner has agree'd to edit his own team salaries to match real life (Promised not to touch anything else).

How do they go about doing this ?? and also what files do they need to send me when they are done with editing their team ??

Thanks in advance

On your player pages, you should just have to click editor ON and then edit the players salaries and such.

I am not sure what files they would have to send you but I am assuming it would be the same file as the roster file that they would normally send...

Not sure about that as I doubt that would work.

IMO, as a long time commish, you are taking a real chance at allowing your owners access to the players in anyway, unprotected. There are a few out there that would leap at this opportunity.

Just my 2 cents...

FYI, IF there are any computer owned teams the salaries will NOT follow typical MLB salaries once the contracts expire. They will be lower.

I agree with TCBL Commish. It's a HUGE gamble.

To your question, I do not believe salary #s are exportable. So, there would be no way for them to send you a file to update the main league file. This means that either you pass around the master league file to every owner, one at a time, or you do them yourself.

Trust me, it's not fun, but it might be your only choice.

I agree with the above, it is a risk. I say spend a good weekend doing it on your own, with passwords on. If by chance, someone gets mad at you, or gets in a fight with you, you can kiss your whole league goodbye. Also watch out for people changing prospects "talent" ratings. I'm sure if they changed an "average" 20 year old 2B to "good", you'd never notice. Make sure you back up your league before you do this.

IMO this is something you have to do yourself, or decide that it's too much work to do alone and skip it completely. The risk of error when allowing all users to edit everything about your league file is too great.

I would agree that by letting your owners edit there teams you are taking a huge risk. I would advice against it.
