Quickest way to set-up a fictional league?

After browsing the forums, reading a ton of stuff and fiddling with the game myself, I've decided to start a fictional personal league.

However, I want everything to be real EXCEPT for the players. IOW I want real MLB teams, logos, owners, stadiums, you name it. Not sure if this is a popular way of playing the game or not, but was looking for some help/advice.

Is there a quick way of accomplishing this without manually editting the stadiums, owners, etc?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

The fastest way I can think of offhand would be to begin a Quick Start game, go to the league setup, release all the players on all levels of play (MLB, AAA, etc.), then, level by level, fill the rosters with fictional players. This might not get rid of the real players, though, just move them to the free agent pool. There may be a way to mass delete or retire them from there though, but I don't know it off the top of my head.

On of the more experienced players can probably give you better guidelines, but that's a starting point, if nothing else.

Now that I think about it, you might be able to mass-select the free agent pool and delete them in one step.

Thinking about it some more, you might be able to do the release/delete (still on all levels), then just run an inaugural draft.

You can go into functions and rename all the players, delete any prior stats or history, then release them and then have the innaugural draft.
