all time streaks question

Howdy,

I am re-playing a historical league starting in 1970 and noticed that the all time streaks are only for the current season (1970). e.g., the all time hitting streak is not J.D.'s 56 but for someone playing in 1970. Is there a fix for this or not?

If I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure one of the more senior members of the board will correct me.

But I think the fix is to select the "Import complete history up to YYYY" option when creating your league. Its on the first page just under selecting the year.

I'm guessing (bear in mind this is by no means definitive) that streaks aren't included in "import complete history".

Basically, the game can't know or manufacture info that isn't in the Lahman DB (or any mod DB, which is usually a mod of the Lahman in some fashion). I feel pretty comfortable in saying the hitting streaks is not the sort of the thing that one would find in that DB. One could say the same things about all kinds of accomplishments that often pop up in RL TV broadcasts. What the game does is take the stats that it finds there, and calculates what historical records it can.

At least, that's my take on it.
