playing vs simming
Has anyone else expieranced more injuries when simming than when playing games out? It seems to me that this is the case...

I don't know, but here is my data for comparison. My available sample size is pretty small though (60 games into the season, +spring training).
I'm playing a historical game (1977 season) with injuries set to low and fictional players allowed. I have had the following injuries to my team, playing out 58 of those games (frustrated with my own success level in the middle of two different streaks, I basically told my bench coach, "See what you can do with them." and simmed a game. It didn't help, in fact they played worse for him): * Ken Rudolph was injured in spring training (I forget how) and missed three weeks. He didn't make the club. * Willie McCovey suffered a back injury and was day-to-day for a week. * Chris Speier suffered a leg injury and was out for 2 weeks (I put him on the DL and he was ready to come back the day he came off, but not before). * Terry Puhl was injured for 6 days (I forget what was hurt) All three injuries happened while I was playing. My opponents have had four or five injuries in games I've played out (the worst for for the Mets, who lost Tom Seaver for 8 months minimum). In my minor league system, where the games have all been auto-played, I can only think of three injuries total, one of which was to Rudolph again. |
