Can't uncheck 'Automatically control in-game engine'

This option is checked and greyed out in my fictional league minor leagues, so I can't uncheck it. I am in my second season.. Can it only be changed in the off season or something? I wanted to uncheck it to see if it is responsable for the crazy amount of HRs I am getting in my minor leagues.

If it is greyed out, there is a very good likelihood that this can only be changed in the pre-season or offseason. I don't know for sure about that specific option though.

You could make a copy/backup of your league and auto-sim to the offseason and pre-season to confirm that you can switch then.

You have to turn off the "Automatically adjust for historical ..." option in the ML first, then you can turn off the "Automatically control ..." option in the minor leagues. Don't know why it works that way, but that may be a clue as to how the latter option functions. Of course, you may not want to do this in the middle of a season.

I tried that and it remains greyed out.
I just started the season, so I am ok with changing any settings you may think will help. This is related to my new HRs thread I just created. If you get a chance I would appreciate it if you could look at it. I have some screenshots that may help to show what's going on.

Well, are you sure you turned it off for the ML (not just the minor league)? It always works for me.

The 'Automatically control in-game engine' is off in the ML, but the 'automatically adjust league totals modifiers' is on in the ML.

Do I have to turn 'automatically adjust league totals modifiers' off in the ML, to edit the minor league 'Automatically control in-game engine' ?

If yes, if I write down my league totals and modifiers for my ML and restore them after I am done editing it shouldn't have any ill effect on my season, right?

Yes. That's exactly it.

That's true. Should have thought of that before.

Just the LTMs. The LTs never change, no matter what you do.
