College vs Highschool prospects
When do you ever draft a highschool player? If you draft a 17 year old compared to a 23 year old does the 17 year old have a greater chance of being amazing? where as the 23 year old has a better chance of making the big leagues but not being elite?
Any other pros/.cons with highschool and college would be great. |

I rarely draft a HS prospect very early on. I'm from the school of thought that puts a complete lack of faith in the skills of high school players. They're not facing difficult competition, and they're very young. They're all potential, and not very much actual talent. College players who do considerably well have somewhat proven they can handle the increase in competition, and are probably more mature. In my personal opinion, I never draft a non-college prospect the first 5 rounds.

I prefer college prospects early and high school prospects late, but it's not a major factor for me. Potential and intangibles (work ethic / intelligence) are the main factors. If two players in the early rounds are close though I'll take the college guy.
