I've been playing OOTP since version 5, but I really got into it with Version 9. Since then I've been playing a replay starting with 1871. I've made it to 1879 and have reached the release of the first year player draft list. However, there seems to be an issue I have not had before and it looks like its affecting players ratings.
When I look at the real life batting stats for players like Buck Ewing, Roger Conner, etc. (this is a pretty loaded draft for the 1800s with 5 HOFs) it shows they have more games than at bats, and a ton of home runs (some with more than 100 per year) while they have almost 0 RBI's. Most of the players in the draft also now have a power rating of 20, whereas the top current power hitters in my league (King Kelly, Jim O'Rourke, etc.) are at most like a 3 or 4. Was there a shift in the database input or how the input is read where all of the columns are off by one? Please help me out before I have guys hitting 100 HR a year in the 1880s! Thanks! Otherwise love the new release so far! |

Side Note
As a side note, I just started a new season in 1879 as a check, and it works fine. The real life batting stats are totally different than my historical sim.
![]() So maybe a different question is, how do I go back in time and reimport my first year players for the draft and see if the issue fixes itself? |

One more thing I tried
I tried starting again from my backup (which was about 30 game days old) and then simming up to the draft pool release date again. Same problem. So maybe it's just an issue with games imported from OOTP X? Just a guess. Any help is most appreciated.
Thanks! |

The database structure has changed. What you are seeing sounds just like what I found when I used OOPT11 with an older Gambo DB.

Thanks.
That's what I assumed, but wasn't sure. Now the question is, how do I fix it? I tried a couple more things this afternoon. I created a quickstart from my existing league, no luck. I also tried reimporting individual players into the draft, then deleting the messed up ones. That works, but what a tedious PITA. Is there a new database that I can dowload that will fix the problem after this season? |

I think I figured out the problem. My league was referencing back to the OOTP 9 database file under Game Database, so I changed the file path to OOTP 11. That should do it, but I'll have to wait until 1880 to see if it fixed the problem for sure.
If there is a way to have that automatically update when you convert a previous version of OOTP to the new release, that would be a nice feature. Just a thought. |
