My historical league retired Ernie Banks after the 1969 season. I wanted to undo this, and took some kind of steps to make him part of the active roster of the Austin Armadillos - I thought I unretired him. He was in the lineups, and in the box scores and it took me till about the 65th game to realize he wasn't compiling stats. I went in the editor and one of my options was to "unretire" him. But I thought he was already unretired. At least the Team stats are being counted from what I can tell. I will have to sim a few games to see if Ernie can start piling up some numbers.

It's certainly possible that you've stumbled onto some sort of bug. If he (or someone with the same name
) is showing up in the box scores, then that player should have stats. Other people are more knowledgeable about this than I am, but my understanding is that if you unretire someone, he is going to show up as a free agent first. Then you can go into the Editor, and assign him to a team. Is that what happened when you tried to do this with Ernie? Or did you just assign him to a team without him being a FA first?Just tossing out some thoughts here. |
