PA/BF question
A silly question that I could probably find the answer to myself and is not likely to be very statistically significant, but I am curious and lazy, so I thought I would just ask you guys.
Let's say a batter steps to the plate with two outs and a base runner on first. The pitcher throws him five pitches, two balls and two strikes and a foul ball. On the sixth pitch, a ball, the runner breaks for second but is thrown out. But the batter's count was still 3 balls and 2 strikes. What happens with those six pitches? Is this counted as a plate appearance? Is this a batter faced for the pitcher. Are they only counted in game and season totals on stats like balls and strikes? What happens with those six pitches?

The pitches are counted against the Pitcher's total but nothing else besides the CS for the runner and the out would be recorded. When the next half inning comes around the same player will be the lead off hitter with the last at bat not being counted. For an At-Bat to be "official" don't you either need a hit, to reach on an error, an out?
