Milwaukee @ Grafton: Series Recap
Game 1 Recap: The Warriors looked real good going into the 7th inning with a solid 5-1 lead, but the Milwaukee bats came alive in the late innings to win 9-7. This game really disappointed the Grafton fans who were searching for a sweep to try and get back up to .500. Top Performers: Milwaukee: T. Carter CF (Milwaukee) 3-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 Run Scored Grafton: R. Lawson C (Grafton) 3-for-5, 1 RBI, 2 Runs Scored Game 2 Recap: An outstanding game!! My boys won the ballgame in the 12th-inning on a walk-off single by MacNeil. The fans went crazy as Matt Ashley scored the winning run to defeat Milwaukee in Game 2 of the first three game series between these two clubs. Sidenote: Grafton #1 Draft Pick Randy Cundy finally came out of his slump! Going 3-for-5. Maybe this is the start! Top Performers: Milwaukee: R. Torres RF, 3-for-4, 1 RBI, 2 Runs Scored, 1 Base-on-balls. Grafton: Walt Thomas RF, 3-for-6, 1 RBI, 1 Home Run, 1 Run Scored Game 3 Recap: We managed to put together another victory to win the series over Milwaukee. This is all thanks to the outstanding pitching performance of Grafton starter Joe Raines (1-1, 4.03 ERA) who pitched eight-innings, with one earned-run, and only allowing two hits. And Randy Cundy, who had his second solid start in a row this time going 3-for-4, with 2 Home Runs, 3 RBI's, and 1 Run Scored. Top Performers: Milwaukee: They didn't have a single player who actually played well, so I won't even give anyone this award. Grafton: Randy Cundy, 3-for-4, 2 Home Runs, 3 RBI, 1 Run Scored Team Updates: Next Series: vs Door County Wales Transactions: None Injurys: RHP, C. Mendoza was injured while pitching, out for 2 weeks (Placed on 15-day Disabled List)
