Hey everyone,
I got up to 1972 (started in 1901) in doing my database work, and I came across a player who didn't have a player page from the HTML output in OOTP. Upon further review, I noticed that my 1972 season is missing three players (players 1102, 1112 and 1113), and this confused me greatly. I'm not sure why they're not there, but they aren't. Anyway, I was forced to scrap the database and start over, as it seemed to go wrong as a result. Does anyone have a workaround for this? I do have the season file from 1972, so I know I could do that. I'm currently re-running every season. Anyway, I'm all eyes. Please, if anyone has anything on this topic, let me know. Peace John |

I had the same problem. I have already notified Steve and Markus about a possible bug with the html report skipping the rare (and I do mean rare player 12 players for me in 33 years).
I assume your players missing were the same as mine. Never played a major league game. Each was released by a different team 1-5 seasons prior to the season they went missing and you have no record in their player history or team/league transactions or news files on how they got to their current team. My guess is those players were supposed to have been retired by the game and somehow reappeared. Here is the workaround. 1- After every season you successfully add to the Wallman Utility make a back up copy of the access file. 2- When the missing player error occurs make a note of the player id number. Find the most recent player page for that player (usually the previous season) and copy it into your current year directory. 3- Delete the original league access file and the one ending in .lbd from your data folder within the OOTPDButil folder and then copy and paste the backup copy you made back into the data folder. Do not delete the backup yet just in case you still need it. 4- Rerun the same season. It will work unless you have another missing player page in which case repeat steps two and three. EDIT - The sad news is if you did not back up the file originally I believe you may have to start all over with 1901 as I had to. One thing you could try is just deleting the file ending in .lbd and see if you can reimport the 1972 season again. I am not sure if it will let you though. <small>[ 06-12-2002, 06:10 PM: Message edited by: Tiger Fan ]</small>
