Question about major league contracts

Hey ... I'm noticing in my small solo league that a LOT of minor leaguers have major league contracts ... even if they've never played in the majors.

I can't quite tell why ... but a short search does seem to yield that every player was selected in the ammy draft.

Here's my setup:

24-man active roster; secondary roster OFF
One level minors

With this set-up, do all players selected in the ammy draft get a major league contact? That shouldn't be...

Note, for example, this guy ...

NO major league time.

Drafted in the ammy draft.

History does not show ANY major league contract signed.

But he has one. Why?

Here's what's odd ... the contact was signed in 1949 and expires after the 1949 season ... but its August 1950!

Something's screwy.

No thoughts?

I cleared these all in my league, as obviously there was some glitch in 1949, but I saved the file so we could see it if needed.

The top 24 rounds of the inaugural draft, if there was one, would be a ML contract, but I haven't heard of anything with the ammy draft.

I'm seeing this happen again in my 1951 season.

Why is OOTP assigning major league contracts to minor league players who have not been promoted and have 0 days in the majors? They were drafted or signed as minor league players with minor league contracts. There are no secondary rosters on.

Grrr....

I've confirmed ... another first-year player draft ... all players drafted are given $0 major league contracts ... which will convert to actual dollar major league contracts next season.

Is my file corrupt or have I found a bug?

I'll post this in Tech Support. Has no one seen this?
