Did I just rip off Omar Minaya?
It's May 1st, 2009, Bobby Abreu is hitting .198 for my Angels and my offense is worst in the league in every category except walks. Magically I'm still in first place because my pitching is STELLAR. Anyway the Mets offer me Fernando Tatis for my backup catcher Jeff Mathis, and eventually I finangle the trade to Bobby Abreu and Maicer Izturis (hitting .097, 4 errors less than a month) for Daniel Murphy, Nick Evans, and Cory Sullivan.
I feel guilty getting rid of Abreu, but I needed a spark for my offense (the next game they scored 12 runs on 21 hits, woot woot.) Izturis wasn't a big loss I have plently of young middle infielders. Murphy is hitting .319 now after going 3-5 in his first game with me, Sullivan was in the minors for NYM but he took Abreus spot and went 2-4 with a walk, and Evans is chilling in the minors. I saved money, got younger, and a nice spark of offense which should turn around that part of my team. I think this is the best trade I've ever completed, what about you guys? By the way, Nick Evans was a throw in, it was originally Abreu and Izturis for Murphy and Sullivan and I figured I'd try another prospect and the Mets didn't seem to mind. |

i had a couple good ones back in the braves dynasty that i had running for about three seasons before i accidentally deleted it (gah! long story)
cody johnson, doing just above average in the minors, was called up to the majors for me (the braves, btw) and he beasted his first season. having to choose between him and swisher (whom i also traded matt diaz and rafael soriano for) i chose to trade cody johnson to new york for joba chamberlain that offseason. joba would later pitch a season of 2.96 ERA and racked up many strikeouts for me that year. i also ripped off the mets by gettign their best SS prospect (Forgot his name) by trading away a couple of my mid-tier prospects. in the beginning of the league and all, i could have traded chipper jones for david wright too. |

What are your trade settings?
Those will make a huge difference for you and the deals you can make.

The line for people who have ripped off Omar Minaya starts over there, buddy.
xD In a fictional league, I got Daisuke Kobayashi, three-time ERA leader, two-time triple-crown winner, for an over-the-hill first baseman, a #2 starter, and the #67 prospect in the league.
