One schedule for both sub-leagues
When I read the manual about schedules, I was under the impression that I would be able to share one schedule for both sub-leagues. (The sub-league setups are identical). But when I tried to do that it didn't work.
I have a ILN_BGN_G162_SL1_D1_T12_D2_T12_C_.lsdl schedule that I was able to successfully import for the first sub-league. But I needed to change the name and the text in the file to "SL2" to get it to import into the second sub-league. Was my understanding mistaken, or is there a way to share the same file? |

But you did eventually get it to work?
Yes, rather than import one file for a 2-subleague league, you can import one file into each subleague separately. Personally I basically never consider that option. I always make schedules to cover both subleagues if there are two. The changing to "SL2" was a good idea. But, yeah, I did not think that would be necessary. I do recall at least once though doing the double import. Maybe it was a file that was balanced or for one division, like "ILN_BGY_G162_T8" as opposed to say "ILN_BGN_SL1_D1_T4_D2_T4".

Yes I got it to work, with two almost identical files.
I was able to set up a schedule in Excel and then use a concatenate function to piece together the text output. I should be able to do some calculations and set the second sub-league up based on the first sub-league without too much trouble from now on. |
