Error Code 202 after patching

I just resently patched and after I did that, I tried uploading my file, and got error code 202 saying file could not be uploaded.

Has anyone ever had this problem, or know how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Steve

Can you go to Game -> FTP Options and verify that the information for team file upload matches what it should be from the commish?

Is this problem happening only to you or everyone in your league?

Do you run any kind of personal firewall software, or antivirus that may block outgoing connections? If so, can you temporarily disable it as a test and then try an upload to see if that works?

I have checked the FTP options and everything matches up.

I also checked the antivirus stuff, and OOTP is allowed access. I first thought about that, and made sure that it has access.

There is one other person in our league that is having trouble with his also.

I am stumped, I have tried everything from downloading a fresh version of the game, redownloading the league file from our home page, and I still get that error when exporting, and an error saying "no updated league file on server" when trying to download in game

Just to make sure nothing funny is happening, can you disable the antivirus stuff (not just allow ootp access, but completely disable it) temporarily and try again? Just to make sure the problem isn't with a secondary process or anything that OOTP might spawn to do the upload part.

if it works with antivirus completely off, that might be the issue. If it still does not work, I'll give you some instructions on how to provide a trace log that the ootp support guys can look at.

Alright, I finally got it after disabling the entire firewall.

You aren't the only one this has happened to. Can you tell us what brand of personal software firewall that you are using? I'm trying to see if I can replicate this.

I had this problem with Windows Firewall in Vista. Turning it off seemed to fix it, but that's not a long-term solution. Turning off the firewall allows the game to check for new files, but doesn't seem to fix the -202 error when I try to export.

There is a currently known issue for users who are in an environment that does not support active ftp mode that might have issues uploading files that was found. It currently is being worked on.

In the mean time for some users disabling the personal firewall might be needed, and for other users that are behing certain types of NAT device/firewalls (like some home cable routers), you might want to try putting your computer into the "dmz mode" on it temporarily to attempt the upload.

I get this same message but only in 1 league I'm in not all of them. Any reason why this might be happening.

In Mac OS X there is an option for Passive FTP Mode, if we turn that off, would it help this issue?
