All foul balls hit behind the catcher (2F)

In the game logs, I've never, ever seen a foul ball that said anything other than:
Foul Ball, location: 2F
So that means that out of every ball ever hit in any league, they are either in fair territory or foul in the tiny section of the field immediately behind the catcher.

I've just started looking at game logs and noticed the same thing - however there are a range of locations for foul balls that result in outs though.

I noticed this as well when I was doing live commentary for our league's playoffs a few weeks ago. It did seem a bit odd but I had a lot of other things to worry about

I don't know that I've ever seen one. Can you link to a Game Log with one?

I never noticed that either. As Tony notes there are definitely other foul places on the location chart. I play out my games and don't notice this in the PbP. My assumption is that it is only an html log issue. But who knows.

Yeah, just as a slight update to what I said earlier any fouls that were turned into outs did seem to have proper location information. It was only fouls that had no other outcome that seemed to default to the '2' location.
