Why do my pitchers suck?

I don't get it. Every game I'm giving up 6-7 runs in the first four innings. Felix Hernandez has an ERA of like 6.35 through six starts, striking out a lot of folks but also walking a lot (1.85 K/BB). What gives?

I manage all of my games- currently one-pitch mode - but I just can't seem to get a decent start by anyone. Any tips? Totally frustrated.

I of course have to mention that six games for one pitcher (or even 30 games for your team) can still be a small sample size. Also, how are your defensive ratings?
