Curse you, OOTP injury generator

In my fictional 1970 league I've struggled my way up from college manager to the big show, and even made it to the 1975 playoffs before running out of gas. In my current 1976 season I've made to the last week of the season with a 3.5 game lead thanks to converting a closer to a starter who has kicked serious butt, winning 18 games. I rescued him off the scrap heap when he was released by his college team and nurtured him to the majors.

I'm playing the second place team, trying to eliminate them and my "closer" has a 1 hit shutout going into the seventh inning when he injures his elbow while pitching.

Out for 12 months.

On the lighter side I lost my first baseman for three days due to an undisclosed injury from a cat.

Nice one... in our online league we had a player get injured falling out of a tree helping his kid build a treehouse!
