AI constant Trade Proposal for same player. What's so special about this guy?
Is there a problem with the AI trade logic obsessing over certain players? I finished two seasons of a Standard League with fictional players and I must of had at least 30 trade offers for this player. He's a decent player but nothing really stands out as to why the AI would constantly send me trade offers for him. I'm playing the role of GM exclusively and my Manager doesn't even have him in the starting lineup. He's a good utility player but I don't understand why there is so much love for him by the AI.

Maybe they need depth at second base. His batting rating are not great, but his averages against left and right would make me think he would be a good platoon player.

What type of contract does he have? I had the Texas AI constantly try to trade me Ledesma(sic) because of his over valued 12 mil per year contract....
Additional feature request: We have an "untouchable" box which eliminates any trade requests for that player, so how a bout a "no chance in Hell" box where we can place AI players so repeat trade requests are eliminated? |

One thing I find frustrating is when an AI team keeps offering you deals involving the same player on their side when you just plain don't want that player. You can set the trade status of one of your players as untouchable. Is there a way to tell an AI team that you don't want a player he's offering in a trade no matter what the deal is?

It's a well-known fact that all of the AI teams act like Billy Beane in those situations.

I thought Billy Beane would trade anything for anything just as long as he clearly came out ahead on the deal.

The AI evaluate trade options at regular intervals. How often it happens depends on the frequency setting in League Setup. The AI has no memory (of anything). Therefore, it doesn't remember that a certain trade offer was rejected in a previous interval. As long as the situation hasn't changed, the AI will likely make the same offer again and again (some randomizing elements may be involved that could affect this -- don't know for sure), until the situation changes. It's just one of the things you have to live with.
