BZ 3432: Players not accruing fielding experience in Historical League

Hey guys

Here's an example from my past season. I have Mart King, who is rated at shortstop, force started at 1B all year (154 games in my season). He didn't post a rating by the end of it, so I switched on commish mode, looked at how much experience he had at the position, and it was still at 0. This guy played over 1000 innings at 1B, but didn't recieve any experience for it.

I have recalc off and player development is definitely not disabled.

Hopefully someone can help...

You've got a puzzle there, all right. You may want to save a copy of your game, because the guys may need to take a look at it. But someone else may have a theory, so maybe give it a couple of days.

I had the game determining positions on import from Career stats, I switched between all 3 options and it didn't make any difference...no experience.

Something similar is happening to me. imported game from ootp9, all historically drafted players are given a position, but no one is given any ratings for any position. i have got rookie fielding ratings based on entire career, but if i change it to anything else it does work, but for some extremley strange reason, it changes everybody's batting stats, for example Joe DiMaggio went from 19-14-15-18-19 to 12-10-11-13-12(out of 20). As a side note and obvious consequence, the amount of errors in the last two years is going up and up

EDIT:After running a few tests have noticed that when changing how the game bases rookie fielding ratings, it then changes the stats of all players on the current real life year. So for example, Joe DiMaggio, his stats were superb, but then converted it to his 1946 level.
