Having Problems Getting the DEMO to Work.

Hey,

I've been interesting in OOTP4 for a while now, but I've never been able to try the thing out to see if I like it.

I downloaded the demo.

When I try to run the program, 2 error messages come up.

1) A Device attatched to the system is not functioning.

2) ERROR Starting Program.
The OOTP$DEMO.exe file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL

irectDrawCreateEX

So I wanna know what I can do to get the game to work.

I'm running a P3 450, Win 98 SE, 20G HD, 96 RAM, 8MB VC ( I Think)...

Someone please help me with this. Sorry if this has been asked before, I looked and couldn't find a similar question.

What version of DirectX do you have on your system?

You must have DirectX for it to work.

If you don't have it get it here: (Its free)

Thanks for the help and the link. The latest directx worked and I'm able to actually play the game everyone has been talking about.

Question about the demo tho. How long does it last? Do we get a certain amount of days or season to play with?

I haven't actually played the demo, but I think the most it is is 1 season, maybe only a partial.
