Question about finances

I am out of money for resigning players. My closer is excellent and his contract is up and is asking for a $10 mil per for 2 years. My owner says I can offer the contract. Is this a bug or normal. Is this a situation where I should apply house rules so not to take advantage of the computer?

Thanks in advance

Yes it is WAD, you only get so much money, and I don't understand how you could be taking advantage of the computer if you can't sign your good closer.

If you navigate to the finance tab through the front-office tab at your team home page, you'll find a calculation of money available for signing free agents and extending your own players. I suspect that you are out of money for FAs but still have money remaining for extensions.

Worth remembering also that if you're playing in Commissioner Mode you can always offer any contract of any value you choose regardless of how much money you have left over for extensions/FA signings.
