Baltimore Orioles Clubhouse - Out of the Park Baseball Report
Milwaukee Brewers Clubhouse - Out of the Park Baseball Report St. Louis Cardinals Clubhouse - Out of the Park Baseball Report Three teams are open heading into our 2018 offseason. Milwaukee's GM since the start of the league has stepped down from the post this offseason, but left a very good team that has won 2 world series titles and fronts a 1-2 of Strasburg and Gallardo. Baltimore is a contender, although their division is tough. STL needs some work, has a nice farm. We've been active since the real-life 2007 MLB offseason, which was when I originally made the file. At the time, I took an old version of cubbyfan rosters and heavily modified + added to them (they were very outdated at the time, nothing against Cubbyfan, wherever he lurks nowadays). Since then, atleast 200+ real prospects (guessing on the number honestly, but it's around there) have been added to the league through various draft classes and/or offseason free agency. All of that said, obviously this is an MLB-based sim akin to real life, and while we're in 2018, there are still a lot of real players left. Most of the guys were accurately rated and developed nice over time. Not everything is perfect, but I'm happy with how the league is playing out for a non-fictional, current sim league. Aging/Developmental sliders have worked out nicely, as stars often play into their lates 30s or early 40s for us. I know this is a lot of useless info, and I've tried these boards before... but I realize it's hard to get excited about joining a league that's already ran for 10+ seasons. It's obviously not ideal for most people to take over someone else's team. By posting all of this random crap, yet again, I hope something will catch someone's eye this time and they might want to give it a chance. Believe me, I know how it works. Most everyone who plays 6.5 has their one or two leagues, and doesn't want to budge-- I'm no different (right down to the 2 league theory). But hey, if you're one of the rarities, and have room for another league or are looking to jump back into OOTP... give us a shot. All we ask is that you stay active within the community, and play it cool with everyone. The site this takes place on is in my signature. There is a League FAQ on the front page of the league's message board (also in my signature). I would link to the FAQ in here directly, but I don't want to break any rules. If you're interested, reply here, and I'll get at you as quick as I can. I suppose you can sign up on the site if you'd prefer, and sign up in the open teams thread. Whatever works. Thanks for reading, and hopefully something will come from all of this typing/plugging...

Also, since the majority of people looking to join MLB leagues usually go for the 2009 startup ones (that generally have ****ty rosters, 90% of the time anyway..), here are the all stars from this past season to prove that our roster set produces pretty accurate results, and has a lot of real players remaining to boot. Both youngsters and vets were among the selections...
These players were selected for the AL OOTP-Allstar Team: P David Price from Tampa Bay P Johan Santana from New York (A) P Rick Porcello from Detroit P Jake Turner from Tampa Bay P Jake McGee from Tampa Bay P Yu Darvish from Los Angeles (A) P Felix Hernandez from Chicago (A) P Scott Rice from Texas P Carlos Marmol from Seattle P Anthony Hackler from Kansas City C Matt Wieters from Baltimore C Buster Posey from Texas 1B Luke Bailey from Tampa Bay 2B Michael Kaneie from Tampa Bay 3B Billy Rowell from Baltimore SS Hanley Ramirez from Tampa Bay LF Albert Pujols from Oakland CF Cameron Maybin from Detroit RF Adam Dunn from New York (A) 1B Chris Parmelee from Oakland CF Carl Crawford from Chicago (A) CF Caleb Gindl from Toronto DH Prince Fielder from Oakland SS Carlos Triunfel from Seattle 2B James Fields from Toronto These players were selected for the NL OOTP-Allstar Team: P Michael Ynoa from San Diego P Stephen Strasburg from Milwaukee P Erik Cordier from Atlanta P Jay Crew from Chicago (N) P Yovani Gallardo from Milwaukee P Scott Elbert from Los Angeles (N) P Scott Kazmir from Philadelphia P Roy Corcoran from Pittsburgh P Casey Weathers from San Diego P Isaiah Fronenberger from Chicago (N) C Joe Mauer from Chicago (N) C Brandon Yarbrough from St. Louis 1B Ryan Howard from Houston 2B Matt Cusick from Houston 3B Ryan Braun from Colorado SS Bryce Harper from San Diego LF Justin Upton from Arizona CF Colby Rasmus from San Diego RF Isaac Galloway from Chicago (N) 1B Eric Hosmer from Milwaukee LF Miguel Cabrera from Florida CF Andrew McCutchen from Pittsburgh RF Robbie Grossman from Pittsburgh 3B David Wright from Florida 3B Kareem Said from Colorado Not everyone is on their real team, and there are a few cpu (or fake) players in there-- but that's cuz we're in 2018 more than anything... but hopefully the fact that we have players who actually produce like their pro counterparts or close to it will intrigue some people.
