Changing league totals mid-season

I'm having an abnormal number of walks. All of my starters (and most other teams') have WHIPs above 2.00. They're issuing on between 7-9 BB/9. So if I go into League Setup and change the league totals for walks (maybe cut it by 10%), will it immediately take affect?

Don't change the League Total. Change the Modifier. Yes, it will have an immediate effect.

Jumping it to repeat the answer from Steve P just to make sure the point is heard -- its the LTMs you want to change, NOT the league totals. Playing with the league totals can be fatal to your league unless you really, really know how they work -- which is not intuitive. The LTMs are far easier to play with.
