Installing facepacks
I downloaded the game last night, I also downloaded Padrefans facepack, i set up a folder called photo in the data folder, I then extracted the file to this folder. I then started a game and the pictures don't show up. I guess can anyone give me simple directions on how to get them to work?

You need to copy them into the \news\html\images folder inside the saved games folder of your league.

So first I start a new game, save it, exit it and then find this folder and then install it?

okay I extracted it to the saved game folder, but the faces aren't appearing. Is there anything else I need to do?..anything I need to check or click?

No, they should show up. Just to be extra clear, they should be extracted into:
My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\saved_games\(your league).lg\news\html\images This is for XP; Vista may be slightly different ----------------------- Just thought of something - you might have to turn FaceGen off. If you go to Game --> Game Setup, the second tab is Player & Picture Options. The top right dropdown 'Player Pictures for' should be set to No Fictional Pictures. |

Let's backup a little then. Please explain your problem with some more details. Maybe I'm not understanding what you are trying to do. What type of league did you setup? What facepack did you download? Give me an example of a player you are trying to use and what it is showing you instead of the correct picture.
We'll get you straightened out. I tried it this morning with a Bob Feller pic and I got it to work OK, so I know it works. One other thing I thought of - did you close the game and reopen it after you added the pics to that folder? The game has to reload the pics for them to show up. I'm assuming you probably did this already. |

You are using the: jwisenberg’s 2009 MLB & MiLB Photo Set - 25 MB set. When you unzip them, it puts them into a folder entitled "ALL". You put the entire folder into: C:\Users\Peter Andersson\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\saved_games\Dionysus.lg\news\html\images\ALL Cut the pictures from ALL, and paste into images. The game wont recognize the pictures inside the ALL folder. So, when you are done, all the player pictures will reside inside the images folder, and you can delete the ALL folder. Try doing that, and then restarting the game, and you should be good to go. That's what I did this evening, and it worked. Good luck! Last edited by Nero; 06-27-2009 at 09:16 PM. |
