Hard Salary Cap

Is there a way to put a hard salary cap in place instead of a soft cap?

By hard cap you mean a set value for payroll that teams can't go above? Yes its in either options or rules.

Well I entered into the salary cap space 100,000,000 yet still 6 or 7 teams choose year after year to be over the cap and just pay the luxury tax....I noticed underneath there though it says soft cap so I wondered if I had to change those values to get my hard camp I want lol. What I'm looking for is rosters to be illegal if you go over the $100million hard salary cap I'm looking to set. Right now It seems just to be taxing those that choose to go over.

Yeah after looking closely it does seem to definitly just charging those teams a tax for what they are over. Is this because I have the soft cap set to 120..if so would me dropping it down to a 100 get me what I'm looking for?

I've never tried it myself, but what if you turn off Revenue Sharing? You have the ability to have:

No Revenue Sharing
Luxury Tax
Set % of Income

Setting No Revenue Sharing removes the Soft Cap in the options.

For the life of me CAN NOT get a league to start with a hard cap! I change the cap to 65 mil, generate new contracts, and hold an inaugural draft and team 1) has a 112 mil in salary and team 12 has a 38 mil salary. The media fixed contract is the same for every team.

Any thoughts on how to get this hard cap to work?

If you change to the hard salary cap or just drop the soft cap to a certain level. Will the players change theirs demands and adapt to the current level or will their be players you just can't afford because the asking price is too high.
