Managing Minor League Teams

What is my job when I take over as a manager of a minor league aff.?

What I like best about OOTP is making roster moves of all kinds.

Is it true, that this isn't possible as manager of a minor league team?

I don't have any job offers from MLB teams so far.
I want be sure what to do when I take over.

I know I can use my commissiner mode option to pick any team but I want to start in the lower minors and working my way up. I won't do it though it isn't possible to make roster moves there.

No roster moves allowed. You just set lineups/rotations and can play the games.
