2 PWBL Openings
The PWBL, currently in the midst of it's second season, now has 2 openings. The league is composed of very active and congenial owners. The league is set in 1947 with accurate player ratings and using a realistic set of financial and transaction rules.
The Boston Braves are currently in second place in the National League. The team boasts a tremendous young pitching staff led by ace starters Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain. This would be a great team for any owner who wants to be competative immediately. The St. Louis Browns are more of a team for those who want a challenge and to build with youth. Although they do boast a few strong players such as Vern Stephens, it will be quite a challenge to lead the club in to contention. Braves finished 2nd last season to the World Champion Dodgers. This season they are 2nd placed behind the offensive powerhouse in St. Louis a month into the PWBL's second campaign.
This league is a blast to play in and I have made several good friends. Take the reins of a strong championship contender with a sterling pitching staff and make a run at the pennant. The Red Sox were World Series combatants in '46 and now it is the Braves turn to be the toast of Tea Town.
