OOTP has stopped working!

I do the initial draft and am trying to sim 3 seasons so that I can then do an expansion draft. I get to Jan 3 of season 1 and it says OOTP has stopped working and kicks me to the desktop. To say I'm not happy is an understatement, especially after spending a good 3 hours getting everything set up to my liking. I did an initial draft, which came out with my aforementioned payroll disparity so I released everyone and did another initial draft. Since then, it locked up. Little help here.

Have you gotten this working?

I get the "OOTP has stopped working" frequently as I exit the game (I'm using Vista), but it never seems to have affected anything when I re-enter the game- just very annoying!

Back when I played in Windows would lock up from time to time but then unlock after it had its time to think. This doesn't help you, but the issue doesn't happen in Mac. =/

We should ask though, what are your computer specs senorcoo?
