Time Waster Thread: What new feature are you most excited to tinker with?

I personally can't wait to see how the game handles minor league disabled lists. This might make it possible to give some "diamond in the rough" a chance to show what he's got because of an injury. I'm curious as to whose job it will be to actually place a minor league player on the DL. It would be cool if it was left to the minor league manager as it might make it more interesting to take control of one of those teams.

I like that one too. I also am looking forward to the draft, with the budgets involved.

I like that too, but I don't know if I want to start a new league to use it.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I seem to have this quandry upon each new OOTP release. I probably will start a new fictional league--- with your outstanding graphics contributions of course!

Thanks for all you do!

I'm looking forward to everything, but I love how the new pitching system looks at the moment.

This does look awesome. The historical replay of OOTP has made some great improvements the last few versions.

I am most interested in the new features regarding FA compensation and how the new arbitration system will work.

This, and also since I play out all my games I am looking forward to the widgets.

Since I play 'em all out also this is going to be very cool.

This one probably interests me the most. Anything that makes it harder for be to hang onto talent is a good thing. I've played out every game starting with v4 and the 2002 season. Now about to start 2018 and v2009 has finally put me in a position, between budgets and options, that I have to make real hard decisions. I'm hoping v10 makes it even tougher.

Honestly? Probably nothing until at least OOTP11.

I don't mean that to be negative. I'm just not really excited about anything in OOTPX. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad many of the new features are being added. Some are sorely needed. I just can't say that any of them truly excite me.

To illustrate this point...

If I had to pick one new feature to be "excited" about, it would probably be the widgets. And yet, I hardly ever play out my games. So I'll probably only enjoy the novelty of my favorite new feature a few times.

Ah well. Like Cubs fans always say at the end of the season... "Maybe next year"

New pitching system, widgets and limits on number of players on reserve rosters for teams that do not have minor league teams.

The pitching and draft changes.

The first thing I'll do is create a fictional league and watch how top pitching prospects develop, while taking note of how the amateur drafts play out.

I'm really looking forward to the minor league DL. Also the arbitration system. Also, the league news about records being broken and such that I heard about.

Come on OOTPX...GET RELEASED ALREADY!!!

Good one's. Arb and realistic FA compensation will make pure GM'ing much more enjoyable. If the roster AI is good enough, we might finally be able to turn on all the options and play without one hand tied behind our backs!

There's so many things from my wish list, that I can't get myself to play 9 anymore.
