I am thinking of going to an apple 13 inch sceen I how bad is it to read the pbp my eyes are not what they use to be thanks!

Wouldn't that have more to do with your resolution than with your screen size? I have no problems with 1280 by 960 on a 17" screen. On a 13" I would guess that 1024 should be readable. If not, you could always go down to 800.
