Title Bout's Lifespan

I'm wondering today about how much longer our wee game will be with us. It's really odd how some of us run the game with some regularity without a problem while others see repeated glitches or suddenly can't run the game at all because of some mysterious technical error. Some folks can't get the game to even start up.

Is it inherent in the fact it's being run on many variations of PC setups? God only knows how folks get it to run smoothly on a MAC. In some cases I think it has to do with the plethora of software many have on their machines and then there's differing sound/video cards(?) and the like. It's all too technical for me now. I just can't be bothered, so I run mine on an older ACER machine with Windows 7 and no internet connection. When that goes to PC heaven I'll have to transfer files to a new machine and hope I can get it up and running.

Still, I've been playing Title Bout on a PC for more than 20 years. It can't go on forever. We all have to die, eh.

I've played off and on since around 2008 or 2009 on a few different laptops but am one of the ones running into errors now. I'm doing a factory reset on my laptop due to various issues and will try reinstalling again. I really hope I can get it to work.

Well after reformatting my current laptop it appears the game will try to open. My problem is now that I think my license is locked on a previous laptop I no longer have access to. I've opened a ticket with elicense to see if they can reset my license but I honestly don't have much hope. I would even purchase the game again if it were still available.

In the past Andreas was always understanding ... maybe hit him up on PM and I would be surprised if he doesn't help you out... I love the game and would hate to be left out because of an unfortunate circumstance like yours... good luck!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve sent him a PM. Hopefully between either he or the elicense support ticket I can get some help and play this great game again.

Also try sending Andreas an email via his contacts here. He has helped me in the past.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm running on a Vista laptop, which is on borrowed time itself. I still have TB1 and TB2 installed on an even older laptop, and worst case I still have the old Title Fight 2001 CD and my TKO Pro Boxing floppy. Man it would be tough to step that far back though.

Still, I have to wonder how hard/expensive could it be to take a program like TB and just maintain it and keep it working? A few tweaks here and there, keep us few happy.

For any tech savvy folks. If I do a system image of the PC I have the game on will I be able to transfer the game on to a new machine when the current one dies?

I'm not sure what a system image is but when I got a new computer recently, I had to plug my old saved files files into the folder (i was getting an error before that). It has worked with no problems since

I should have been more clear in my previous post. I meant to say If I do a system image of the PC I have the game on will I be able to transfer the game on to a new machine that doesn't already have the game on it when the current one dies?

I might need to ask Andreas about this one.

TBCB 2.5 is now running fine for me on our Win 11 computer, thanks to some help from the very kind Andreas. We bought this PC in January, and I told my wife that at our age, this will probably be our last one.

I run my game on a Mac, and it works fine, except that I'm having issues when I create fighters. When I update my game, it changes them from either the slugger or boxer styles to the boxer style.
