Ratings Issues

I see a lot of quirky ratings here including Kason Gabbard being a 4 star potential pitcher, Kris Benson being an almost 5 star reliever, and the most obvious is the Joe Saunders debacle. Anyone who helped develop the game have any idea about these? Might have to wait until a roster set from a modder comes out before even playing a 2009 solo .

Shouldn't this go in the roster set issues thread?

Are these with scouting on or off? If on then it could be your scout. If off, look at the post near the top of the forum about MLB roster changes.

This is scouting off. I just figured I'd make a separate thread non-injury/name, etc related. Something just with ratings just because I know rating players from one person to another is relative. Just basically wondering if anyone else thinks this is a bit quirky.

This probably needs fixed so please post it in the ratings post on the top.

This is going to happen time and time again since the stickys on top will lead people to think this is also tech support #2 forum, just like with OOTP9.

I wouldn't get too put off on the stars. Stars are stars and stats are stats. When Kris Benson throws up a sub-2 ERA over 100 IP, then worry about it.

Give it a try before you knock it too much.

I'm just saying in general there are a lot of quirky positions, ratings, etc especially with pitchers. I think the pitching system is still in extreme BETA form when it comes to ratings.

Well, considering the preeminent, real-world roster modder on these boards was the lead on these rosters, I'm sure he will be very welcoming to suggestions about possible issues and they will probably be fixed once the first patch comes out.

As far as Saunders, yes he didn't have the pitches to be a starter and it has been noted to be fixed in a patch. Thanks for pointing them out and if you find anymore, please post in the roster issues thread.
