Fictional League before 1901?

With OOTP9, can I start a league prior to 1901? I know I can do historical, but can I do fictional?

I think you just type in the starting year when you create a fully fictional league. I could be wrong; its been a while since I've created one.

Yes you absolutely can. You can start a league all the way back to 1871. I have a completely fictional league that I started in 1871. No problem.

Now, do I buy 9 or wait on 10. Decisions.

You can actually start a league in any year. I've started historical leagues way back in 1859. Initial league totals and modifiers and era stats will be based on 1871 however.
