New to this, but expierenced with Baseball Mogul
I am a long time Baseball Mogul player. Didn't realize OOTP even existed until a few minutes ago. I am downloading now, what might I like about this over BM?

Flexibility, more realism (imo), better mods.

Have you played Mogul? It may take me awhile to get used to it. Which would you rate more highly?

It will definitely take a while for you to get used to OOTP, though if you just use the default MLB (or even the ABA quickstart, which is smaller and simpler) it will help. The online manual will help, although it's quite large (and in some places seemingly out of date.) Just look around the forums for help too. There's a "New to the game?" subforum.
I actually did the Giants Data for BM 2002, but I never had them send me my free copy since I didn't think much of the beta and had gotten OOTP by then. I did get to play BM 2007 some and enjoyed it well enough for what it was. My Giants 1983 Franchise rocked. ![]() As someone who has converted to almost purely fictional and universes rather than individual leagues, OOTP is leaps and bounds ahead of BM. YMMV. |

I will be sure to check out the subforum. I really enjoy going back in time and replaying the history of baseball. I did enjoy how customizable BM was. I love to also being very strict on myself since the AI for BM was so easy to beat. How is the AI? I ask, cause it's still downloading.

What screen are you stuck on? (I know you said start up screen, but I'm not sure if you mean the main menu or the screen where you purchased it.)

Might try MLB Front Office Manager if there's a Demo out.
