Greatest endings you have seen to a fight
I have got to go with Mike Weaver's 15th round KO of John Tate in their HW title bout. Tate completely outboxed him that night and was less than a minute away from the win, when blam!!!
YouTube - Mike Weaver Vs. "BIG" John Tate (KO-15) - 03-31-1980 - Round 15 - W.B.A. Heavyweight Title - Stokley Athletics Center, Knoxville, Tennessee Honorable mentions, Gene Hatchers 11th round stoppage of Johnny Bumphus after being totally abused for the first 10 rounds and the first Leonard/Hearns fight, as much as it pains me to say it. |

Tate vs Weaver. I have to laugh from time to time when I watch it because I remember making a friendly wager with a buddy, and when Tate hit the deck..he jumped out of his chair and began screaming at the TV for Tate to get up.
Also Aaron Davis against Mark Breland for the same reasons Lee states above, as Breland was having his way with him, and suddenly Breland was on the deck, and Joey Fariello had to scrape him off the canvas.

Chavez vs Taylor fits the bill Even though it was Richard Steele who saved Chavez from defeat.
From a funny stand point Vinny Paz vs Melvin Paul. That bolo punch Paz wound up and landed was just incredible |

Was there ever a better fighter than Breland whose chin just totally deserted him as a pro?

Lee, I think you are right, but one guy who always frustrated me was Carl "The Truth" Williams, if he had a better chin he might have been a champion.
Also, Julian Jackson knocking out Herol Graham was also a great one.

Jorge Castro/John David Jackson
Even though the next round started. Holyfield/Tyson in the 10th. Marciano/Walcott Louis/Conn MJohnson/Galindez Chacon/Limon IV But the winner imo is Holmes/Norton. Nobody was finished but that was the greatest 15th round I have ever seen. |

James Toney's KO of M. Nunn for the MW title was pretty dramatic in the 11th round with Nunn up on the cards....
Carbajal's KO of Humberto Gonzalez after being KD twice in that round / round prior.....for the Jr. Fly Wt King title... |

Great Ending
I would have to go with the first Corrales-Castillo fight. It was simply an amazing fight with an unbelievable, bordering on ridiculous, ending. The only fight I have ever seen that looked like it could have been spliced directly into a Rocky movie.
Agree also with the Gonzalez-Carbajal ending, absolutely amazing. All good calls though. Jeff |

Michael Carbajal's come from behind KO over Humberto Gonzalez was one of my favorites. Gonzalez went down like an invisible pair of hands were folding him like a T-Shirt.
But nothing, at least to me, beats Foreman versus Lyle! I wanted George to win sooooo bad, and the next thing I knew, he's on the floor. Then, Ron visits the floor. It was legalized brutalities' finest hour! Sit back and enjoy it on YouTube (Part 1 of 4 below)! YouTube - George Foreman -vs- Ron Lyle 1/24/76 part 1

One for the Aussies...Jeff Harding, behind on the cards, giving absolutely everything he had left and stopping Dennis Andries in the 12th and last round to win the WBC Light Heavyweight title.
