What work arounds are you using for the waiver bug?

As the title suggests i'd like to no what some of you are using as a work around for the waiver wire bug, malfunction, OOTP's inability to run waivers correctly?

In my online league for example the team with the worst record, and room on his 40 man roster is making waiver claims and not winning the claim. His roster export/import comes through correctly, but it's a crapshoot as to which team actually gets the claim. This issue isn't just inherent to his team it's happening with several teams, as OOTP just randomly assigns waiver claims, or none at all as it see's fit. Also messages aren't showing for one or both GM's in some cases. In summary waivers should always work, but they just don't.

Our resolution is to PM the commish and handle the process outside of the game. Anyone else wanna share what they're doing about it?

just wondering if the date stamp on the export "wins" the waiver request. Anyone tested for this?

Other possible reasons for the "bug"
Game could process the waiver requests in alphabetical order (don't laugh, I am pretty sure this is how the game decides some tiebreakers).
Or perhaps based on team_id number?

Three leagues I am in handle waivers via a forum thread and the commish assigns the player to the proper franchise if it doesn't do it correctly in-game.

Rarely does it do it correctly. The player either :
1) get assigned to the wrong team
2) clears waivers and stays with the original team
3) apparently gets assigned to a team but never appears on their roster

That's our process.

But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Frodo. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... beings will come Frodo. Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams
