Historical league- old ballparks
This is a great game. As a "newbie" I'm surprised at the accuracy and the various options you have to make the game real. I like to replay major league seasons as real as possible. My son imported all of the real photo pictures from the site acquired in the MOD forum, and has downloaded all of the old stadium pics.
When I play a game the player photo's are amazing. I can't believe all of those were available, but they were and it really makes the old seasons more enjoyable. The stadium photos come up when I select them through the "pictures and coordinates" tab on the edit ballparks page, but when I play the game only the default photo displays. I'm thinking that I'm not properly saving the old stadium somehow. The steps I go through are; game tab, game set-up, league set-up, select the league I'm playing, edit ballparks, pictures/coordinates, select the day and night version, select the stadium from the list that is in my folder, and click load. At that point the stadium appears on the team page. But, when I go to play a game the default stadium is there. What step am I missing? Thanks in advance for any help |

Make sure the image files are the proper folder in the main ootp folder (ootp/ballparks or such).

Just to take eliminate all the possibilities: did you try saving and reloading your game?
Also, if you don't know this already, uploading and using those pictures can be just the start of a lot of work. You may have to adjust the player positions and ball locations for each stadium, unless you are using a park.dat file someone has already created for that purpose with the correct stadiums that you are using. Also, sometimes the day photos and night photos don't match up exactly, which skews the player positions and ball locations. All doable and solveable. Just thought I'd give you a heads up if its news. FWIW. |
