Help !!! - New and can't get started
I purchased and downloaded the on-line version last night. I would like to replay the 1951 to current ML seasons. In doing so, I'm interested in being able to manage games for any team at any time. I also don't want any computer generated transactions (unless they follow history and only do transactions that really happened), and thought I would have real photo's of all players. None of this is happening.
I followed all of the prompts for creating a historical league. I am listed as the manager for the Detroit Tigers. None of the players have pictures. I choose the first game on the schedule and I don't get a prompt allowing me to play the game. Everytime I "sim" to the opening day game I get messages that a trade has been proposed to me and a list of transactions. I delete the messages (again I don't want any computer generated fake trades or transactions). But, the bottom line is I can't get the game started. What am I doing wrong. Thank you in advance for any help |

Pictures don't come with the game. You have to install pictures (see the mod forum). There are picture packs out there which you put into your folder.

Pictures and getting started
Thanks for the reply. I do have a picture pack that my son copied for me. I'll have him help me load it.
Now, my bigger issue; GETTING STARTED. How do I start a game and manage it. When I go to the schedule there isn't a "play game" prompt. I've followed the manual and still no luck HELP . Thanks for any advice |

Thanks
Thanks for the "no trades" solution. Any idea why I can't get the "play game" prompt on the schedule?

N/m - you said in another thread that you resolved this problem.

The sim will auto-stop if you have received a message of any sort, so you'd need to go back and sim to opening day again, each time you got a message.
The other option is to go to Manager Options and uncheck all of Stop Auto Play options at the bottom of the left hand side. |
