AI Minor league signings

I have it set to let AI handle minor league promotions/signings/lineups. I had a bunch of pending free agents, but I only bothered resigning the ML level players. I thought the AI would resign these guys, but I noticed in November that about 15 of them became FAs. I had 25 man rosters for each of 5 levels of minors, but now Rookie league only has 7 players. Am I supposed to manually sign these guys? Or the AI decided to release them?

AFAIK, the AI wouldn't do any of the signings and would restrict itself to lineups and promotions. You need to be in charge of talent exiting and entering the organization at all levels as the AI merely shuffles them around in your minors.

when you are on the page "Pending Free Agents" you can pull up the Action button and it says something like "resign all minor league free agents".

Do this in june or july before the minor league seasons end, but after they have accrued enough play time for the year.
