Beta Baseball Hall of Fame: Left Fielders

So, in 2028, Beta Baseball, the online league I've been leading since 2002, is currently holding its 25th anniversary festivities. This includes the launch of our Hall of Fame - 25 years is enough to warrant a decent Hall of Fame, I figured. Since we're a small league, I thought it would be a good idea to seek public votes and get a larger sample size and post here (although we're holding this poll for our owners on our own board as well). The way we are going to do it is we're going to hold a vote to select our all-time team (2 players from each position plus 7 pitchers for a total of 25 men), and the retired ones will be our initial Hall of Fame inductees. After talking to a moderator, and rejecting his proposal of holding 9 polls at once in 9 different threads, I thought I'd do it gradually, over the whole season. This week we're doing left fielders. Poll will close in one week, top 2 will be selected.

Note that players should be evaluated purely on their current accomplishments, not on what they might do in the future. We're electing a Hall of Fame, not a Hall of Future Fame . Also, you are allowed to vote for a maximum of TWO guys. No more than that, or I'll have to cancel your votes, and I don't want to do that .

Bill Blackman (2010-2022, 1444 H, 315 HR, .270/.329/.499)
Spent his career in Skojpp - for those who haven't been around for the other threads, they play in our equivalent to Coors Field. Still, he hit it deeper than pretty much everyone.

Hewlett Boise (2017-current, 1580 H, 247 HR, .262/.343/.485)
4-time Gold Glove, a slugger and a pretty decent defender, solid without being too fancy.

William Byrd (2007-2021, 1314 H, 83 HR, .283/.355/.401)
5-time Gold Glove. His modest offensive output won't get him in, but his defense was top notch.

Marcellin Champagnat (2007-2019, 1788 H, 373 HR, .271/.365/.481)
2014 AL MVP, he was one of the stars of the "dead ball era" (which is a bit of a misnomer, but offense was indeed a bit low), despite a short career.

Simian Flock (2007-2021, 1975 H, 405 HR, .287/.394/.508)
2008 AL MVP, 1-Time Gold Glove, he's probably the favourite LF entering this contest. He had great numbers in Skojpp (of course!) before joining the great Westness franchise.

Blue Blue Lean (2013-current, 2447 H, 325 HR, .294/.352/.470)
2020 AL MVP, 2014 AL Rookie of the Year, 5th all-time in hits, a fantastic all-around player and key member of the Pierrefonds Liberté dynasty of the 2010's. He returned to Pierrefonds this year after 6 years away, and at 38 years of age, he'll probably retire in the storied yellow and green uniform. Despite his weird name, he is all serious on the field (and he's topped 2500 hits since this thread was started).

Aart Stuckenschmidt (2014-current, 1955 H, 417 HR, .291/.366/.519)
2023 BL MVP, 2015 BL Rookie of the Year, 2-Time Gold Glove, he's another early frontrunner in this race. He has an outside shot at 500 HR, since he's 35.

I went with Blue with all those hits, but Aart, and Simian will probably draw more votes with the better power.

Flock, Blue Blue, and Stucco. In that order.

Flock, then Stuckenschmidt, Boise third. Lean might qualify for honorable mention, but I'm not really seeing the attraction there.

Flock and Stuckenschmidt are in. Lean will probably be inducted soon, but not this time!
