Rehab
I'm a new player on OOTP9. I have signed a star player (Sabathia) who had been injured in the previous season and not resigned. He has the right to refuse assignment to the minors, but we are now into June of the new year and I want to send him for some rehab. He was on the DL during spring training. ??? Advice???

Rehab assignments are not built into the game. What you are trying to do is a neat idea, and I encourage you to post a request for rehab assignments in the newly opened suggestions forum.
Meanwhile, someone might come along here with an idea for a workaround. Have you tried going into Commissioner mode and editing the player onto the team where you want him to rehab? |

To the original poster: This is why you don't even have to worry about it. Let him play - rehab isn't built into the game and you'll be missing out on valuable starts while you think he's "healing".

I went ahead and just inserted him into the lineup. As I suspected, his first threee starts were very shaky. However, he has now pitched 3 consecutive complete game shutouts. And the Jays are in 1st place at the end of August. Would this be a good time to express my love of this game. I had to spend about 12-15 hours reading the manual, especially for things like Rule 5 draft, rosted management, etc. My previous games (Season Ticker Baseball 03 and Baseball Mogul) were no more than a 1 or 2 on the complexity scale. This is easily a 10. I love getting totally absorbed.

It's addicting, isn't it??I remember the first weekend I got the game, I played out 30+ games in one weekend. Keep in mind playing out a game takes ~20 minutes and you can do the math
