Won pitching award without pitching

One of my pitchers won a weekly or monthly pitching award. First, the pitcher hadn't pitched at all during this period. The email stated an ere of 0.00, which was correct but it was 0.00 because he didn't pitch.

The second error in the email was that is said the league was sub league 1 instead of the American League.

Was the player in the minor leagues at any point? Did he maybe win the award for the minor league, but since he had been promoted, the story displayed his major league stats?
